Discover Aikido

Picture
Discover the excitement and enjoyment of Aikido at Tampa's premiere dojo - The Florida Aikido Center.

The Florida Aikido Center - located near the HCC Dale Mabry campus and Tampa International Airport - offers an open, encouraging and respectful training environment to those ready and willing to learn. Sensei Gina, chief instructor at the Florida Aikido Center, invites anybody interested in learning more about Aikido to visit the dojo and watch any class session.

The Florida Aikido Center is a “traditional” Japanese martial arts - that means we practice "dojo etiquette" during class. However, the overall atmosphere is open, friendly and ego-free. Because of this, there is no reason to feel intimidated or overwhelmed as a newcomer, and you can focus on attaining your specific goals.

Some members of our dojo have experience in other martial arts - including Tai Chi, Karate Yoga, Jujitsu, Judo, Kendo, Tae Kwon Do and Kung Fu -  but, it is by no means necessary. The only thing you need to start learning Aikido isn a desire to better yourself, work hard and have some fun along the way.
