Learn Aikido in Tampa at the Florida Aikido Center!
Centrally located near the HCC Dale Mabry campus and Tampa International Airport, the Florida Aikido Center offers an open, encouraging and respectful training environment to anyone ready and willing to learn. Sensei Gina, chief instructor at the Florida Aikido Center, invites all those interested to visit the dojo and watch any class session.
Do I need to have a previous martial arts background?
While some members of our dojo have experience in other martial arts (some even train in Karate, Judo, Jujutsu, Kendo, Kempo, Krav Maga, Tae Kwon Do or Tai Chi at other dojos in the Tampa Bay area) the only thing you need to start learning Aikido is a desire to better yourself, work hard and have some fun along the way.
How much do clases cost?
Unlimited classes are $75 per month per student, or $55 per month for co-habitating couples or family members. Alternatively, you may purchase a 4-class punch card for $30. For private class or special group rates, please contact us.
Do I need special equipment to start?
No. For your first few classes, all you'll need are comfortable clothes you don't mind getting sweaty in. Eventually, you'll want to get a uniform and a white belt either online or from Wolfpack Martial Arts Supply off Busch Blvd. in Tampa.
